Instagram is testing to create posts using the web browser on a computer. The feature was found by social media consultant Matt Navarra, who taken some screenshots shows the functionality.
Facebook confirmed the test in a statement to Bloomberg. “We know that many people access Instagram from their computer,” spokesperson Christine Pai said. “To improve that experience, we’re now testing the ability to create a Feed post on Instagram with their desktop browser.”
Navarra’s screenshots shows that you can make to select aspect ratios, apply built-in filters, and use basic editing functionality within the browser. The feature isn’t showing for everyone yet, but it’s highlighted in the top right of the screen with a message saying “Now you can create and share posts directly from your computer,”
Instagram has been working slow to implement features on its web app if we talk about desktop computers. Direct messaging only became available last year, for example. But the users who use Instagram as part of their daily routine have had to use third-party tools to create posts on computers, showing that some use cases don’t require for benefit from only using mobile device approach.
Now If we talk about how you can implement in your instagram account in desktop. Here are the few steps you can follow to use this feature.
In order to make a new post
- you need to clock the “+” icon on the top right corner of its screens to get started,
- then follow the instructions to upload your photos or videos. you can either drag and drop files, or you can “Select From Computer.”
- Then, you need to choose the size and format, select a filter, add a caption/ location if you wanted to use,
- then click ‘Share.’
Now the main conclusion is that Instagram has to test this new desktop posting so that you don’t need to post your photos or videos by using other methods in your desktop’s web browser. So, let’s see that when Instagram has rolled out the desktop posting in order to post photos or videos in the Instagram account.
