Android Q, the upcoming major smartphone OS that will widely role out in later this year is available right now in the form of beta 1 right now. It comes in several new features like dark mode, enhance privacy etc. As it is the case with any Android version, the first one is always specific to Google’s own Pixel devices. Android Q beta 1 is only available in pixel smartphones. What’s new is that Google is included first generation pixel and pixel XL devices in the beta testing list in the addition to pixel2, pixel2XL, Pixel3 and Pixel3XL devices. - If you have not enrolled for the beta then go to google.com/android/beta and enrolled your pixel device for the Android Beta program
- Once you click enroll then you will get a notification to registered pixel device and will get system update is ready.
- you will also get the option to install. The process is automatically restart the handset, you will have Android Q Beta 1. To ensure that you are running the beta version. Go to settings> About Phone> Build number and check if the build number starts with QPP.
- It is also possible to move back on public Android release by visiting beta website and click on opt out. Your device will get an update within next 24 hours. The process will wipe and clean your device and will restart it with the public Android Version.
